Open Source Community Day 2009

This weekend Open Source Days arranged Community Day 2009, where members of the Danish Open Source community met for formal and informal talks, networking and a bit of beer.

Besides talking to old friends, colleagues and students, I also took part in the discussion about the future of the Danish Open Source community, and went to a few talks:

• The presentation of the Linux-based N900 from Nokia - Want one of those to experiment with using the accelerometers for text input. And maybe create a location based game with the GPS.
• Andreas Bach Aaen's presentation of how he uses cheap NAS devices as home servers - Might be cheaper than the Soekris devices I use at the moment.
• Henrik Størner's presentation of MythTV - Want to try that at home.
• The presentation of the Copenhagen Labitat project - They want to create a hardware hacking workspace. Sounds like an excellent idea.
